Lord, teach us to pray.

This section’s focus is of great magnitude. The concept is so vast that it might well occupy the rest of one’s life. The first part has to do with the “fruit of the Spirit.”

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:
Galatians 5:22,23

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:9,10

During your time with God, ask for “the true marks of the Kingdom: the holiness, the humility, the meekness, the gentleness, and the lovingness.” These are graces we grow into, but for a miracle.

Then there is submission and receptivity to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For “in the Spirit, the Father and the Son themselves come.”

If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 14:23

It is an awe-inspiring thought. Is your body-temple prepared for such an experience? Is your mind prepared? Can your soul handle it? Examine yourself. Ask for a pure heart. Pray the model prayer that Jesus taught his disciples:

When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Luke 11:2-4
